My brother Geth Noble has built a series of spectacular skateparks around the world (do an image search on Airspeed Skateparks to witness the true poetry of concrete), including several on the Oregon coast where we grew up. He hired me to do this piece on the ceiling of the tapered fullpipe in Reedsport. I worked on a makeshift hanging stage that looked like something Huck Finn would go down the Mississippi on. Skaters were shredding underneath me continuously. The concave overhead surface was backbreaking to paint. For the best view, pick up speed in the large bowl and skate clockwise over the surface of the mural as shown in the photos.
